Based on the New Testament of the Holy Bible, it is very clear that Mary was the mother of Jesus. There is also no doubt that Jesus is God and He was the ‘Son of Man’ as well.
God created everything there is (see Genesis 1). God was not born by man. Instead, God created man (Adam and Eve – thereafter He continued to create each and every person).
Mary was a respectful woman whom God used to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah: “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call Him Immanuel – ‘God is with us”’. (Isaiah 7:14 NLT)
Jesus was 100% man and is 100% God.
Since Jesus was a 100 percent man, His body in flesh and blood was born by Mary. That is why He always called Himself as ‘the Son of Man’. Mary did not give birth to God (the Spirit) as God already existed before Mary was born. There is only ONE GOD from the beginning to the end. Therefore, Mary is NOT THE MOTHER OF GOD. She is not in heaven yet (see Revelation 20:4-5, John 3:13) and she cannot pray for us (see Ecclesiastes 9).
Based on human wisdom, no man can fully understand God. That is why the question: ‘Who created God?’ can only be replied: ‘God existed by Himself.’ (see Exodus 3:14-15) God can be either singular or plural – but ONE GOD, and the SAME GOD at all times.
As God is a spirit, He cannot die. Only as a human being could He die and he died as a man to defeat the death and Satan. He was resurrected (as a man from the dead) by His own power through the Holy Spirit (see John 6:63).
By His death and His resurrection, He created the way for all man to follow (see John 14:6). It is the ONLY WAY God will save His people the Second Time (see Isaiah 11:11). Only through THIS LADDER (see Genesis 28:10-15 and John 1:51) – the Word of God (see John 1:1-3, Revelation 19:13), man may go to God’s Ultimate Promised Land and His own resting place (see Revelation 21:1-3 and Hebrews 4:1-11) in GOD’S NEW AND EVERLASTING COVENANT (see Jeremiah 31:31-34, Isaiah 55:3 and Luke 22:20).
The following lists the exact relationship between Mary (the mother) and Jesus (the son of man) in His own words:
1. The First Miracle of Jesus
“On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, ‘They have no wine.’
Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.'” (John 2:1-4 NKJV)
2. ‘Who is my mother?’
“As Jesus was speaking to the crowd, his mother and brothers were outside, wanting to talk with him. Someone told Jesus, ‘Your mother and your brothers are outside, and they want to speak to you.’
Jesus asked, ‘Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?’ Then he pointed to his disciples and said, ‘These are my mother and brothers. Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!’” (Matthew 12:46-50 NLT also see Mark 3:31-35)
3. ‘God bless your mother’
“As he (Jesus) was speaking, a woman in the crowd called out, ‘God bless your mother – the womb from which you came, and the breasts that nursed you!’
He (Jesus) replied, ‘But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.’” (Luke 11:27-28 NLT)
4. ‘weep for yourselves and your children’
When Jesus was being crucified on the cross:
“Great crowds trailed along behind, including many grief-stricken women. But Jesus turned and said to them, ‘Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.”’ (Luke 23:27-28, also see Matthew 27:55-56 and Mark 15:40-41)
Except Jesus, all man are sinners. Unless we are holy, we cannot see God. Man can only be made holy by REPENTANCE and use the blood of the one time priest – Jesus to wash our sins away. MAN (SINNERS) NEED WEEPING before they can go to Heaven (see Zechariah 12:10-14 and Revelation 1:7) and only after ENTERED into Heaven, tears of man will be wiped away by God (see Revelation 21:1-4, 7:17 and Isaiah 25:8).
5. ‘Woman, he is your son’
When Jesus was being crucified on the cross, He entrusted His mother to His disciple John. Obviously, Mary needed support from man as she was a woman of flesh and blood:
“Standing near the cross were Jesus’ mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother standing there beside the disciple he loved, he said to her, ‘Woman, he is your son.’ And he said to this disciple, ‘She is your mother.’ And from then on this disciple took her into his home.”(John 19:25-27 NLT)
