Should Women Preach?

One of our web site visitors brought up a question as whether “Women Should Preach?”  He further quoted one verse in the Holy Bible written by Paul regarding this subject:

“Women should listen and learn quietly and submissively.  I do not let women teach men or have authority over them.  Let them listen quietly.” (1 Timothy 2:11-12 NLT)

This is Paul’s personal preference as being shown in the second sentence above stated; not God’s instructions.  Paul believed Eve sinned as she could not resist the temptation of Satan (the Devil).  However, in reality, both Eve and Adam sinned.  God is a faithful God, He forgives ALL those when they repent and confess their sins in spirit and in truth, not because the nature as how they sinned or the reason which led them to sin!

Although all the disciples (apostles) of Jesus were man, Jesus did not say that women should not preach the gospel.

In my personal case, I do let my wife to handle all our financial decisions and daily activities.  I give her advices only.

One of my elder sisters, she gave up her career as a doctor of medicine and became a preacher more than 30 years ago.  She has always been filled by the Holy Spirit and preached continually at least twice every week.  There are also many other women actively preaching the gospel nowadays.  Therefore, let no man (with flesh and blood, except Jesus) rule on his own words (not God’s Words) or understandings without the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
